It's now a year since we resumed the village cinema, and we had hoped it would become a cosy meeting place for people in the village. But we have to admit that it's been pretty slippery in the cinema. ????????
So we simply wonder: Is community cinema something you want us to continue with?
If the answer is yes, we'd love your input - what kind of films would you like to see, or is there anything else we can do to make the cinema more enticing?
Feel free to leave us a comment or a message - we'd love to hear from you! ❤️
On Thursday 11 September, the village cinema starts up again with film screenings here at the Centre for Northern Folk. With the first film to be shown at 17.00, which is the sequel to Barske Bøller, namely Barske Bøller 2!
In Rough Bullies 2, a lot can happen!
Mr Wolf, Sir Snake, Don Piraja, Mister Shark and Netti are finally back, now kinder than ever. Yet the gang struggles to build trust and acceptance in their new lives as honest citizens, and are forced back to their old ways for «one last mission» by a criminal gang of girls. But do they have it in them to execute a cunning plan again?
The next film is No Comment, and it will be shown at 19.00!
When you're prime minister and realise that your husband has taken a dump, it's not enough to throw him under the bus. Unless we're talking the articulated bus.
At least that's the strategy Prime Minister Alma Solvik, together with her scandalised and corruption-accused spin doctor Karianne Moen, resorts to when prime ministerial consort Sondre Bortnes is caught as a stock speculator. In the face of accusations of insider trading and disqualification, “Sondre is the culprit” becomes the mantra everyone in the party has to repeat.
No Comment is the film you didn't know you wanted to see about power, intrigue and obfuscation in a political reality much like our own. The film takes us behind the scenes and behind the facade, showing us what really happens when the shit hits the fan. Or when the loo is on fire, as they say. When the shit hits the fan. When everything falls apart. When all hell breaks loose. Yes, you get the point...
