Experience the rich Sea Sami culture
Have you ever wondered what Sea Sámi culture is, or why some areas have signs in Sámi while others don't?
Visits Centre for Northern Peoples and get to know more about Sea Sami history and traditions! Join a guided tour of our exhibitions, where you can learn more about Sami language, culture and history. The experience continues with an atmospheric storytelling session in the gammen, where you'll hear about Sami primal beliefs, bear hunting and much more.
You'll also get to taste traditional Sea Sami snacks and enjoy freshly brewed campfire coffee (or tea). Remember to dress well, as the gammen experience takes place outdoors.
