With different Sami identities, Line and Anders fall in love.
Anders is from a Sea Sami village. Line is a Tromso Sami. Can they tolerate being different without jeopardising their self-esteem? What happens to the relationship when a child is on the way and Anders continues to take drugs?
Playwright Siri Broch Johansen/Juho-Sire gets close to the characters, without embellishing the forces that are triggered when two people, a woman and a man, fight to be understood by the other.
Sálva/ Håndtak premiered in 2023. Now, audiences from Vardø to Snåsa will get to experience the play by the award-winning playwright from Tana.
