Dutkan Davvin - Research in the North

Davvi álbmogiid guovddáš/Centre for Northern Peoples is part of the project «Dutkan Davvin - Research in the North», which aims to establish a stronger research network between the museums in Troms and Finnmark counties. 

Thirteen museums in the region are part of the network; Várdobáiki Sami Centre, Sør-Troms Museum, Midt-Troms Museum, Arctic University Museum of Norway, Perspektivet Museum, Nordnorsk kunstmuseum, Nord-Troms Museum, Centre for Northern Peoples / Davvi álbmogiid guovddaš, RiddoDuottarMuseat, Museene for kystkultur og gjenreisning, Deanu ja Várjjat Museasiida/Tana og Varanger Museumssiida, Varanger Museum and World Heritage Centre for Rock Art - Alta museum/Báktedáidaga máilmmiárbeguovddáš - Áltá Musea, which is the project owner and project manager.

Davvi álbmogiid guovddáš/ Centre for Northern Peoples (DÁG)'s project in Dutkan Davvin involves the production of a new basic exhibition at DÁG. The exhibition is based on  Bååstede - bringing back Sami cultural heritage, where DÁG will receive 24 cultural-historical artefacts. Read more here
