Terje Roalkvam states that he directly incorporates nature, as a material, into his works. Stone has been formed over millions of years, and wood needs several (human) generations to grow. Combined with industrially produced aluminium, this opens up space for reflection on our nature and what we do with it. The works explore the contrasts and interplay between materials, the diversity of nature, and humanity's need for development.
