Terje Ansgar Eriksen has been appointed as the new managing director at the Centre for Northern Peoples. Eriksen comes from Birtavarre in Kåfjord and resides in Nordreisa.
Eriksen is now working as the general manager at the work and inclusion company Nordtro AS in Sørkjosen. He has previously worked as a logistics manager for the World Food Programme and a logistics officer for UNICEF, among other roles.
The position of general manager was advertised after Henrik Olsen was re-elected to the Sámi Parliament's executive council following the 2017 election, thus becoming a full-time politician.
– Finding a new general manager has been a long process. We are very pleased that Terje has accepted the job, and I am sure that we have found a top-tier leader, says chair of the Centre for Northern Peoples, Marit Anne Hauan.
Eriksen will be at the centre after the summer holidays.
