Davvi \u00e1lbmogiid guovdd\u00e1\u0161 \/ Centre for Northern Peoples (D\u00c1G) has Sami museum responsibility for northern Central Troms and North Troms.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The museum is to collect, document, preserve, research and disseminate regional S\u00e1mi culture and history, and the cultural revitalisation expressions of northern peoples.
In our work, we relate to ICOM's definition of a museum:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A museum is a non-commercial, permanent institution in the service of society that researches, collects, preserves, interprets and communicates tangible and intangible cultural heritage. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Museums are open to the public, accessible and inclusive, and promote diversity and sustainability. They operate and communicate ethically and professionally, facilitate broad community participation and offer varied experiences for education, entertainment, reflection and knowledge sharing.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
