The year is 1890. A S\u00e1mi woman wishes to improve the grazing conditions for her reindeer herd and seeks an audience at the castle. This triggers a meeting between the woman, a lady-in-waiting, and a queen. They challenge each other through their differences and what they have in common. The era's perspective on gender, class, and indigenous peoples constricts the room for action. How do the three women cope with this, and how does it affect them? The plot and roles make a temporal leap between then and now. In a burlesque and poetic scenic expression, the question is posed: what has changed from 1890 to today?.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A S\u00e1mi woman, wanting better grazing conditions for her reindeer, journeys to 'Sloahtta' (in English, this could refer to a specific location, perhaps a historically significant place or settlement, or it could be a symbolic name of a place). There, she encounters a high-ranking woman and a queen. In their conversation, they challenge and test each other, with their differences in status and society. The prevalent societal norms regarding gender, class, and indigenous peoples at that time hinder opportunities for advancement.
