What future do we want? Duodji Dreamers is an exhibition where 10 young duodji practitioners reflect on duodji in today's modern society and reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Date<\/strong>: Opening Wednesday 11 July 2018. The exhibition is open until 28 September 2018.

Where<\/strong>: Davvi \u00e1lbmogiid guovdd\u00e1\u0161 \/ Centre for Northern Peoples, The Gallery<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus of the exhibition is sustainability. The 10 artists have each chosen a work from the collection at the Sami Art Museum in Karasjok as inspiration for a new work that they have created themselves. Both the work that is their inspiration and the new work are part of the exhibition. The artists have different approaches to sustainability in duodji. They are representatives of the young generation of duodji practitioners and come from different parts of S\u00e1pmi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The performers are: Anniina Turunen, Laila Mari Brandsfjell, Lisa Lyngman G\u00e6lok, Merethe Kuhmunen, Milana Sapelnikova, Nik\u00e1 Pittja, Ove St\u00f8dle, Patric Jonsson, Sandra M\u00e1rj\u00e1 West and Sara Inga Utsi Bongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duodji Dreamers is a collaboration between Riddu Ri\u0111\u0111u, Centre for Northern Peoples and Samisk Kunstmagasin. Ellen Berit Dalbakk is the producer of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
