Book Talk with Ingeborg Arvola and Bente Pedersen



On Tuesday, March 17, there will be a book talk at the Center for Northern Peoples featuring Ingeborg Arvola and Bente Pedersen.
Ingeborg Arvola is a Norwegian author, born in 1974. She is known for her novels, short stories, and children’s books. Arvola has received significant attention for her novel *Kniven i ilden* (2022), which explores Kven culture and history in Northern Norway. She often writes about identity, belonging, and life in the north.
Bente Pedersen is a Norwegian author, born in 1961. She is particularly known for writing historical romance series, often set in Northern Norway. Pedersen has written a number of popular book series, such as the Raija series, and is one of Norway’s most widely read authors in this genre. She is known for combining history, drama, and strong female characters in her books.
It will be a pleasant evening with good conversation, plenty of coffee, and cake. The 9th-grade class at Manndalen School will be selling coffee, cakes, and waffles.
