Museum

Davvi álbmogiid guovddáš / Centre for Northern Peoples (DÁG) is the Sámi museum responsible for northern Central Troms and North Troms. The museum is responsible for collecting, documenting, preserving, researching and disseminating regional Sámi culture and history, and the cultural revitalisation of the northern peoples.

A museum is a non-commercial, permanent institution in the service of society that researches, collects, preserves, interprets and disseminates tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Museums are open to the public, accessible and inclusive, and promote diversity and sustainability. They operate and communicate ethically and professionally, facilitate broad community participation and offer varied experiences for education, entertainment, reflection and knowledge sharing.
