As part of the Bååstede project, the return of Sami cultural heritage, Dávvi álbmogiid guovddáš has copied one of the branches included in the project.

The background to this is the desire for certain artefacts included in the Bååstede project to be displayed at both the Sami museums and the Norwegian Folk Museum, and that this is solved by copying certain artefacts.

For DÁG, this included one of the branches included in the project, item no. NFSA 3655, woven by Nils Oppervoll from Manndalen in 1958.
The aim of copying is also to preserve and strengthen traditional Sámi production processes (intangible cultural heritage) from a Sámi perspective, from materials to finished product.

The copying project is also a knowledge transfer project, with thorough documentation of the process, including material knowledge.

The project is being carried out in collaboration with Manndalen husflidslag, whose members have the best expertise in Sami branch weaving.

Kjellaug Isaksen was responsible for the practical implementation and documentation. The project manager was Henrik Olsen.
