Finally, the sequel is here! Author Ellen Thorsdalen, originally from Skibotn, visited the centre in 2018, where she presented the book «Mors døtre». Now she has released the sequel, and is coming to present the book «Krigen og lengselens galskap».

The Sámi smallholder family from Northern Troms, whom we met in "Mother's Daughters," now face new challenges, while the past weighs heavily, for what actually happened when the mother died?

The author addresses a theme where the encounters between women and German soldiers during the war had significant consequences and challenges. Both being «good Norwegians» and at the same time restraining warm feelings that might arise.

Our café offers delicious lamb and cabbage stew from 4 pm. Afterwards, there will be a book talk with coffee and cake in the library.

Both books are for sale in our centre shop.

WELCOME!
