Davvi álbmogiid guovddáš / Centre for Northern Peoples presents the film Inger Ellen Baal «Eallin» by Ørjan Marakatt Bertelsen. A portrait of a proud Sámi woman, about her longing for a lost culture and life in the mountains.

Inger Ellen Baal (90) was born and raised on the plateau. In the film Eallin we get an insight into her life. A story about a life in reindeer husbandry, about friendship and hosting (verddevuohta) and loss of livelihood.
Filmmaker and photographer Ørjan Marakatt Bertelsen has interviewed and filmed Inger Ellen in various situations. The result is a warm and down-to-earth portrait of a proud Sámi woman and her longing for a lost culture and a life in harmony with nature.
