This historic house is known as both Sjåbakkenhuset (Sjåbakken’s house) and Sjit helvedes kåken (can be translated to a shithole of a shack) and has these two names for good reasons. Today the house is a tourist attraction. In week 28, the house is open between 10 am and 2 pm. Everyone is welcome to experience the unique story of Anton Sjåbakken. See directions here.
